Covering Arched Windows

At Night & Day Decor, we know the character and architectural details of your home are important. Specialty shaped windows set your home apart. But, that doesn’t mean they should remain bare. When left uncovered, they can bring in relentless glare, direct light and heat. This results in discomfort, faded interiors and frustration. With arched window treatments, they are designed to fit the custom shape of the window. They highlight the character and enhance the design–all while providing light control, privacy and energy efficiency.

Should the Entire Window Be Covered?

When you have a large window with a shaped top, this is a great question. You have two choices, and they are both left to personal preference. Cover the entire window with arched window treatments that offer maximum light control and privacy. The other option is to cover the majority of the window, leaving the shaped portion bare. This results in significant light control, privacy and energy savings, but also invites light in across the ceiling, illuminating the entire space.

Do the window coverings adjust?

Some collections of arched window treatments are capable of operating after being installed, and some window coverings remain stationary.

Which Shapes Are Covered?

Hunter Douglas window shades can provide coverage for custom window shapes, like arched and angled windows, octagonal, circular windows, transoms, bay and bow windows. We have options for window shades, blinds, draperies and shutters to cover specialty shaped windows.
